I'd start by pulling out the Image unit, taking a good look at the charge corona that's plainly visible, maybe clean any dust-bunnies out of that.
Then, I'd check to see if the contacts on either side of its cavity in the machine are bent or mushed outward. Lastly I'd look at both the copper contact on the bottom of said cavity, and the laser window deeper inside from there.
You could have a crappy I/U-is it oem, or does it have any weird colored reman.-type stickers on it? I've given up on Reman. I/U's for those models, too many defects and service calls!!! |
