    konica 7165 error 1 w/ new developer

I have a konica 7165 I changed the developer because of background (had over 500k) Installed new Developer and went thru set up. when I got to the Auto dot diameter adjustment I get an error 1 code. I cleaned the TSCB with no change. Help, I need to get this machine going. What else can be causing this? Did I not Do something that needs to be done in the set up?
    Thank you for any help.

How old is the drum? Are there any visible wear lines on it? If there are then it is a good bet you will need to replace the drum also. Lines can be caused by normal wear or the occasional drum wrap that wasn't taken care of immediately.

This. I know the PM schedule says the drum should last 500k, but I've never seen it make it that long. I always change it at the same time as the developer & PM kit.

If you just changed the developer and didn't do the complete PM, try to clean the charge corona (or to replace the wire and the grid). That could be your problem.

Dumb question, but did you start the adjustments from the beginning or did you just resumed from where you were?

Also, when you print the LD1 and LD2 adjustment charts, do the charts come out nice or are they washed out?

First, I have been able to run the machine even if Drum peculiarity adjustments showed an error. Are you not able to make any copies/prints at all?

Second, have you tried to check if you are getting any signal from the TCSB in the 47-mode? You posted that you cleaned, but maybe sensor failed or not connected good.

agreed, the tcsb has been known to blow up just by looking at it funny.

I'm able to run a copy just fine, looks great at this point. In the 47 mode, I'm assuming it is 008, is reading 0 (6 is 139 and 7 is 255) the 7272 next to it reads 246 at # 8. So I'm guessing the TCSB is bad?.
