Two days ago I changed the unit drum(black) for C203,brand new;after that I receivedd this error C-2558;

Check that code.

There is no reference to it on a C203.

C2558 Abnormally high toner density detected black TCR sensor

• TC ratio in the developing machine, which is determined by toner replenishing amount control mechanism, is 11 % or more for a given number of times consecutively.

• When the connector of the TCR sensor is disconnected.


Check your TCR level AND setting in tech rep. Verify the TCR level is at or near 7-8% and the TCR Level setting is set to zero.

Print out a dozen 11x17 black halftone at 255 and then do a reset and stabilize. Might also just simply be a bad IU.
