According to the SM it's either the write unit cooling fan (FM2) or the PRCB. But check first of all the fan (it's on the left side if you stay in front of the machine where the write unit is). In "47 Programm" I/O check "multicode 2" you can also control the FM2 by sending an output signal.

Necropost, but this resolved my issue after reseating the write unit. I had bent a fan pin and wasn't aware of it.
