    Hi again.

What i mean is: does the copier Konica 8031 require original Imaging Unit, to work?

I'm guessing that you're probably thinking of using a different imaging unit from another machine. It's not possible because imaging units are keyed and designed differently. You're going to have to go get an imaging unit designed for the 8031.

    Question imagestic imaging unit

    Hi.

Thanks for your reply. My customer have imagestic ( i think thats the right name), brand new (seems compatible ones), but it's for minolta (or Pitney Bowes) CF3102, wich the mecanical portion is the same than Konica 8031.

Is there a way to make them work?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

The 3102 and 8031 have interchangeable fuser and transport sections however the imaging units are specific to the model number.

That's the problem. Though the company uses the same machine but names it differently they somehow make some kind of changes making it that you have to get the supplies from that company only. Usually the change is slight, but you would need the imaging units side by side to notice the difference. Sorry friend, I can't help you there.

Actually they will in fact fit because the difference is in the chip which according to my source it would be too cost prohibited to change. We physically changed one out a few weeks ago but its quite time consuming.
