The LS-501/FD-501/SD-501 is not a supported configuration with any of the bizhub PRO C6500 supported controllers.

- What serial number prefix is required for the SD-501 to be compatible with the bizhub PRO C6500?
The finisher must have a serial number beginning with 15AQ or later to be compatible with the bizhub PRO C6500.

- SD-501 is not being recognized by the machine.
CAUSE: Incorrect setting of the dip switches located on the rear of the SD-501 unit.
SOLUTION: Check to make sure that all 4 dipswitches are in the ON (up) position. See the attached SD-501 Installation Manual.

The old and the new options cannot exist together with one system, though the main body can be connected with both the old and the new option.

Answer was controller board. Serial number did not support being flashed with C6500 firmware. Order a newer unit and flashed it prefectly. Have a great 1050 book finsher if someone wants to buy.
