My problem is I can not figure out the network settings and do not know how to approach in connection to the computer. Is there an alternative way to print config page. Sorry for my poor English, I hope you understand what my problem is. Thank you in advance.

The Di-470 cannot work with the Pi-5501. The Di-470 needs the Pi-4700e embedded controller which looks very similar.

    From Minolta:

    Solution ID TAUS0630809EN00

    Notes:
    1. The Pi5501 is not supported on the Di470; the Di470 supports the Pi5500 and the Pi4700e. The Pi5501 is compatible only with the Di450 and Di550.

If you got this machine from a wholesaler likely they messed things up. (As so often)

First, Resetting of the NIC is not necessary when changing the Peripheral Mode from 3 or 4 to 5 to enable the Pi-5501. This sets the machine to accept the controller. The Nic is a separate part communicating with the controller not the machine logics.

After setting the Peripheral mode to 5 restart machine and wait for several minutes for a config page coming out. If no config page comes out you have to do a NIC reset as described here:

    From Minolta:

Solution ID TAUS0643085EN* Solution Usage 2

    Description
How to re-set the NIC on the Pi4700e or Pi5501 to its defaults.
    Solution
    Perform the following:
    1. Disconnect the power from the machine.
    2. Move the jumper provided at pins "OP2" on the NIC to short the two pins closest to the "FACT" label (to the left of the jumpers), as shown on page M-10 of
    the service manual .
    3. Turn on the power and keep the jumper on the pins for a minimum of 1 minute.
    4. Disconnect the power and move the jumper back to its original position.
    Notes:
    1. The power should be unplugged whenever the jumper position is changed.
    2. To reset the Pi5501 main board, please refer to page M-8 of the service manual .

    ------

After this start the machine and wait until the config page comes out.

Than download this utility to set a new IP-Address. :

Using the DHCP/BOOTP Utility to Configure an IP Address for Networks and Communications from Allen-Bradley

    Instructions are included.

Use a crossover cable to connect the MFP to a single workstation or laptop for this. Using BootP from a networked workstation will not work.

Sounds all more complicated than it is actually.

    Good Luck!

    Hans
