There's a switch hidden under the frontcover activated by the side door. Sometimes the grey plastic arm attached to the sidedoor is not actuating that switch properly.

In the groove of the slider for display contrast is a very tiny pinhole with a switch hidden inside. Push the switch with a piece of wire like a paperclip and look in the display for a small dot appearing in the middle of the left edge of the display. As soon as the dot appears hit button #3. A new menu will appear in the display where you can reset the trouble code to unlock the machine.
