    What in H*ll is this. KM C203

    prints Pink overall, also in framingarea, but only in colormode.
    B/W copies/prints are OK.
    IU IS renewed.

    It's probably the magenta print head that's having a problem.
    Switch it with cyan unit. if the background is cyan then you will have to change the print head

    Either that or an HV contact is bent or broken.

    I've also had problems on a C250 with a bad flat cable at the back of the machine, although I don't know the equivalent of that problem on the C203.

    When you say IU is renewed you mean it is new and not chipped or rebuilt.

    yes definetely a print head issue! They had a bulletin out where they were replacing all PH units FOC...they were having a very high failure rate....

    bulletin, yes i knew this but all prinhead had been replaced before, ca 2 monhts ago, so i thought....
    if u send in the prinhead to claim warranty the printhead will (probably) be fixed at the factory or somwhere and sent out in the field again.
    the PHD assy that I putted in the first time had been in for factoryfix.
    Yes it was the printhead.
