I have 7272 giving me a sc23-04 code. I've tried reseting to no avail. It pops the code when I turn on the machine with the front doors open, the drum unit removed, and the transport bed slid out.
Thanks in advance for your advice!

It is a fault with the main charge.Usually the cleaning section in not getting to the home position. Techs can turn off the cleaning section. You can change the whole charge for about $200. If you are not a tech, call one.

First of all I am a tech. Second, if its the main charge cleaning unit, why would it code if the entire drum unit is removed from the machine. (BTW, the cleaning section is turned off). I turned the machine on with the doors open.
Why are you booting up the machine with the drum unit out?
Is the charge seated correctly, is it plugged in, is the wiring ok?
How about we put the drum unit back in, cheat the front doors, go into 47mode load check, switch 51(PCL) and see if you can see the light
If not, replace your charge unit!

Agree with SmellsHot on this one. And it will blow one of many possible codes without the Drum Unit Installed as it is not there to give the proper signals back........
BIG PAPA IN THE HOUSE!!! whats up dude?

I did not assume you were a tech because of the low number of post and "0" tech rating. Also I, like the other techs here would have never considered booting up with the drum carriage out. We get a lot of end users here begging free advice. Also telling us the cleaning section has been turned off is info we need to diagnose your issue. We also like feedback as to what solves your problem.

Glad you got it working. Thanks for the update!
