Portable Appliance Testing

Hi guys,

What do we know about PAT testing on Konica Minoltas.
I remember in the good old days of the nineties hearing about PAT testing which involved sending 000's of volts around the machine. I'n not sure if they were just urban myths though.
Has anything changed ?
Is it recommended on MFP's ?
I have a client with a C350 and a 500, they want the machines certified as passing the test.

Thanks for the link, an interesting article regarding energy star compliance.
Do the new energy star giudelines make PAT testing obsolete ?
I thought PAT testing was ensure the product is electrically sound, good earths and insulation etc
