Error code C6020 on Kyocera CS 3550

I am getting an Error Code C6020 on a Kyocera CS 3550

Replace Fixing Unit. Thermistor is not working properly.

Order the modified fuser plug connector. There is also a later firmware update to fix this code. This code happened to me on a few selected machines after I did firmware upgrades to add the interrupt button on the touch screen and to speed up the loading time. The thermistor is not guilty!

How can we clear this code in the short term ? It only occurs when it is very hot, but works fine for months between getting this code.
