Konica 7272 RADF DF-322

RADF on Konica 7272, model DF-322, jams on input. It jams as soon as the paper leaves the Read Conveying Roller (part 13qa45023) on its way down towards the platen. I have already replaced all intake rollers and cleaned and straightened the mylar tabs (Registration Auciliary Sheet A&B, Parts 13qa40410 and 13qa40420). If I loosen the screws securing the Paper Feed Guide Plate (part 13qa40033) and slightly misalign the Paper Feed Guide Plate, the RADF works great. However once I tighten up the screws again, the RADF jams.
Any ideas? It's driving me nuts!

Try forming the top cover interlock actuator upward so it pushes down farther when you close the top cover.
