    Re: Technician Interview Process

I have to admit, the last training i attended was by far the best to date, all other techs there also had many years of experience so there really were no stupid questions.

I guess its the luck of the draw picking the good classes without all the cowboys, if its chosen for you and you have no say, well your screwed

I don't know about you, but I somehow always get paired up with the guy with no mechanical aptitude. Two and 1/2 hours later he's still trying to change the feed rollers, and I'm trying to scavenge enough parts to reassemble our machine for the next stage. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I'm always suspicious of designated seating at these training events - what does it matter where i sit?!

I think it has something to do with evenly distributing the newbies and the "less capable" techs and the good ones, but then again thats just a guess. How would they even judge that? possibly by looking at their training records and tenure at the company.

    Re: Technician Interview Process

In most of the classes I've been in, we go around the room and introduce ourselves and our work experience. I'm sure that they pair up techs so that one tech can assist the other in making it through the class. =^..^=
