Just want to know what the difference in the developers are and why they can't be use from one machine to the other.

Although the developer is probably the same the toner that is pre-mixed is not. The c500 and 8050 have a slighter differences in toner and the c6500 has 'HD-toner' and I would say the amount of developer would be different for the c6500 also. You would not use one in the other as it will screw up the l-detect.

I seem to recall there was a difference in the developer in the composition of both the toner and developer for the c500, there was a bulletin about a new type of developer and toner for the c500. I believe the first toner and developer for the c500 was originally from the 8050 the new batch was developed that did not work for the 8050 and I believe the for the c6500 is as random stated the mixture is different between c500 and c6500.
