    Re: C6501 wavy paper

You ever figure out what it was...

i have this now with one of my C6501s...

happens with both fusers... Worse with one then the other.

I know i have a pressure plate on one of the fusers rears, where the pressure screw will not tighten, its stripped i think.

I have usually check the fuser pressure often - i keep one fuser for 12x18 and one for 8.5x11 etc. even know they get mixed up all the time.

Since its happens with both fusers i am leaning toward curling roller, only happens on 80# gloss, fine with Uncoated, 100# gloss is even ok, everything we run is duplex.... so hard to eliminate something in the ADU.

I followed Newmang's advise and replaced the separation plate along with the fusing belt and the problem went away. Sorry for not giving feedback earlier and thanks for bringing it to my attention.

    Cheers!

Having the same problem today with a C6000L. Had black gunk on fuser rollers, replaced those and problem reoccurred, intermittent, but still there. Going to replace the fusing separation plate next. Fingers crossed, I don't work on production machines much.

Definitely replace the fuser separating plate if not a finisher issue

I had the same problem, mylar on the fuser exit plate kept getting damaged, I peeled the thin mylar off the plate and it worked great. Hope this helps.
