    Konica Minolta Factory Reset

    Good day Gentlemen/GentleWomen,
I had one of our tecs go to a Konica Minolta Bizhub 200 to install a new drum/developer, and instead of the resetting the counter, he did a factory reset.. and now after inputting the Ip address I can't connect to the web browser, any ideas why this might be happening, and more importantly how it can get Resolved. I'm able to ping the machine, so there is a connection.
any input would be greatly Appreciated

First, so this doesn't happen to him again in the future.....the procedure to be followed when replacing drum & developer on the Bizhub 200 is the following. Take care not to skip any steps.

    To Calibrate Dev:
    Counter
    Special Parts Counter
    Clear PC Life
    Clear IC Life
    Touch END
    SHUT OFF copier
    change drum and dev
    go in Tech Rep Mode:
    Function
    F8
Start - calibration takes 2 minutes
when start key turns green press End

That being said.....let's move on. By factory reset I assume you mean he went to "Initial mode" and did a total clear. The following data is initialized:

    The following settings are cleared.
    • Fax-related setting information
    • Bulletin board setting information
    • Transmission/reception log information
    • Image data
    • Network setting information
    • Destination information
    • Soft switch information
    • Management-by-account setting information
    • User authentication setting information
    • Account/user counter
    • Remote maintenance setting information
    • FW download setting information
    • Copy setting information (zoom ratio, paper size, erase width, paper source detailed
information, copy job program, bypass free size registration, etc.)
    • CSRC setting information

So now you've got your work cut out for you..... the network settings and all the other items affected have got to be set up again from scratch. The total clear on this model should always be avoided when possible as it makes for a ton of work setting it all back up again.

Anything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.com
