Please how do I use the downloaded firmware on my C550. I don't see any USB port on the system
Did you get the firmware to work? Is this the software that you use to reformat the harddrive? I have been locked out of my machine with a CE Password (no one knows what it is). I need to figure out how to reset the machine to factory settings? is this was you use to do that -...the firmware?
If so what is the process? I have downloaded the firmware tool, but I see no instructions? SOmething about a compact flash? where does this compact flash go? how do you reset the machine.

I have to rewrite firmware for c550. I have the toolkit and a CF card (2 gig). I must be missing something. When I try to create the card with the toolkit it looks like everything is fine, but when I plug it into the machine it says that there is an error.
Questions
1. DO you have COMPLETE instructions on how to format the CF card?
2. Does the CF Card have to be 128 meg (or is that just what was available years ago?)
3. Any and all advice and details on how to do this reformatting would be greatly appreciated.

I have to reset the C550 CE Password. No one knows what it is. I have the Took Kit. I have followed the Service Manual page 80-87 approximately. Bought brand new unformatted 128 meg Sandisk CF Card. But still i get a cryptic response when I put the CF card in and then start the main and sub switches. It says. "This is invalid Card." " Make sure the Card". That is all it says. I do not know how it could be invalid when I followed every single step. I have tried a couple times, each time starting over from the beginning from formatting the card using the Tool Kit (not windows). I have verified the version number of the alleged software. Not sure what else. Hope you can help.
I have this "A00J0Y0-F000-GCQ-J8(00)". I decompressed into a "bizhub" folder on c drive as directed and then opened the toolkit, etc. But it did not work. I do i get the latest version and then I can try that I guess?

I also have version 2.5.3 of the ToolKit. Has this changed too? Can I use it with the new version below? Can you send me the new version below?
1st does the imaging toolkit successfully write the firmware to your CF with out any errors?
2nd what slot in the machine are you putting the CF card?
3rd if all the above works format the CF card in Windows, set file allocation to default then format & try again.
