    Bizhub 200 - touch screen and service mode

    Went to work on a Bizhub 200 and discovered that the display touch setting were off about 1~2 inches. Tried to go into Initial Mode and try the Touch Panel Adjustment but the 8-digit service code seems to have been changed from the default of 00000000). Is there a master code or another way of getting into service mode and changing this back to the default? I know that the display needs to be changed but I really need to get into Service Mode. Thanks

    As far as I know You will need new nvram in order to remove service mode code.

    Rather than wasting time with a short term benefit of calibrating the screen, just replace the tablet. =^..^=
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Yes I was going to do that anyway but the customer wants us to start servicing the machine. And it wouldbe nice if we could get into service mode and initial modes.

    did you try holding down utility while turning on? I have never seen the code changed so I would think it is the touch screen being off causing it not to accept code. If I remember correctly you have to touch end tab after entering code? this makes me think it is the touch screen causing it not to enter tech rep mode. Put new touch glass in op panel and I think you will be alright.

    @kuby
    For the first replace touchscreen - after calibration (if it will be possible at all) it will not be better for a long period of time. Some day (soon) touchscreen will not work at all.
    As a second step try to get into service mose as copyman said.

    If this will not work for you, give me privmessage I will tell you how to bypass service code - you don't need new NVRAM as vijaysharma and ivovb wrote - this is just bullshit they heard from Konica Minolta.
    There are 5 ways to bypass service code in this machine, and NVRAM replacement is the last one you can do...

    No matter what you do, if you don't get the touch pad fixed, you will not be able to enter service mode. Even if you find a way to bypass the need for the service code sequence, you still have a touch panel that doesn't work. They are not that expensive to replace. BTW calibration wont help, when you are unable to use that much of the screen it FUBAR anyway. Emujo

    Yeah, I had a customer that wanted the fuser code cleared, but didn't want to pay for the tablet. There's just no way around it. A working tablet is required to clear any code, even if you have to borrow it. =^..^=

    What's the price of touch screen for US region? You can always offer repaired touch screens
