    C452 Copy Quality

    Hi there
    Copy Quality C452.pdf
I am having a problem with a C452. The Copies are light on the edges of the page. About 2cm from the back of the machine on page and 4cm from the front of the machine on the page.

This happens on A4 and A3 Paper and all paper types.

I have changed the Transfer belt, Imaging units, Transfer roller, PH unit and HV board. The firmware has been upgraded too.

The image quality seems to be on the Magenta I.U. the image that is being put onto the drum seems to be light on the sides.

At this stage I am Stumped.

Please any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    from doc feeder or flatbed?

may just need a adjustment (density) and ADF adjustment....

seen it happen more often with B&Ws...

Printing from PC or memory. Either way gives me the same problem

I don't see the issue in your samples. How many copies are on the IUs, are you using thick paper and are you telling the MFP if you are? Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

well you say COPY quality, i think copy not print...

    so all around poor quality...

you know this is not a production machine.

What happens when you print a full color document that is 100% coverage...

I find that the entire series C451-C754 all do not print full coverage well for long runs.

    Re: C452 Copy Quality

Machine used to print perfectly fine then all of a sudden just started printing light on the edges.
All I.U's have been replaced. Transfer belt and roller have been replaced.
Tried a different Ph unit. Tried different High voltage boards for I.U's and transfer section.
    Tried a different Fuser unit.

Now I am at a total loss.
Pushed image density up to the max and I am getting a half decent image on plain paper but as soon as card stock is used there is an issue.

Just to be certain, do you get the same results in Service Mode > Test Mode > Halftone?

...Did you stabilize after installing all that new stuff?
