C-3103 is a 2nd transfer pressure release motor abnormality. To troubleshoot:
1. Confirm that the front door is closed.
2. Access I/O check mode 25-00 (front door sensor), 24-01 (2nd transfer pressure release motor/M41 - pressing position) and 24-03 (2nd transfer pressure release motor/M41 - releasing position). Check that the front door sensor functions and that the motors are ON. If not, replace the subject parts.
3. Check the connection of the following connectors and wiring between the connectors. If any problem is found, correct it.
- CN57 (DC Power supply/1)
- CN76 (DC Power supply/2)
- CN642 (pantograph)
- CN643 (pantograph)
- CN632 (pantograph)
- CN638 (pantograph)
- CN636 (SW)
- CN700 (sensor)
- CN617 (sensor)
- CN313 (Conveyance drive board)
- CN300 (Conveyance drive board)
- CN301 (Conveyance drive board)
- CN150 (Printer control board)
4. Check if ICP16, ICP20 on the Conveyance drive board (p/n A1RFH060) or ICP23 on the Printer control board (p/n A1RFH050) is OPEN. If so, replace the problem board(s).
5. If the cause cannot be specified by the above steps, replace the parts in the following order.
- Conveyance drive board
- Printer control board
- 2nd transfer pressure release motor (p/n A11PM102)
- 2nd transfer pressure release HP sensor (p/n 08AA8551)
- DC Power supply/1 (p/n A1RFM401)
- DC Power supply/2 (p/n A03UM402)
- Wiring (p/n A1RFN205, p/n A1RFN206, p/n A1RFN207, p/n A1RFN208, p/n A1RFN211, p/n A1RFN213 and p/n A1RFN243)
