    dedicated surge protector...

Not sure what everyone calls the plug, but we call it a dedicated 20amp......Basically it's the one on the Konica 554e. It has one vertical and one horizontal and a ground.....
I cannot find any surge protectors for these.....We use to use isobars....
    Any suggestions?

I've been buying from ESP for years, they will have whatever you might need: http://espei.com/products/esp-digital-qc/

This is the plug you are talking about right (Nema 15-20r)
I simply order the adaptor I posted and use the typical ESP protectors.

    Hope that helps...

They have these in 15 & 20 amp models. They're affordable and pretty dang cool. Call Todd Emery for pricing.
We've started using them and have been very pleased.
    Hope that helps !

Todd is great to deal with and if you order over a certain amount you get a nice discount also!

We stop using the ESP, the older models were passing electrical noise into the Fax lines when connected to C353 series.
We went to SmartPower filters here ... http://www.smartpowersystems.com/con...uardianII.html

Smart power has been pretty good, a few have failed with noise problems.
Innovolt's have caused an issue when the power drops out, and caused our machine to lock up.

I will look into those MX Power brand, those look nice.

The older ESPs didn't work on GFCI circuits either.

You can make a pigtail connector in the meantime.

Female plug matches output plug of machine, male plug matches suppressor.

Use a thick AC wire to avoid heat problems.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
