Is the machine by a window? Is light hitting the AE sensor? Stray light is what causes abnormal timming codes on Minoltas

Checked the condition of your lamp cable, in EP1054 this usually worn out and gives you this error, this happened in 1/10 units i have. To make it sure do this trick turn off the machine remove the copy board glass so you can easily unplugged the AE sensor cable, then turn on the machine with the AE sensor unplugged, see the result if it will give you another error C041? the last number should be different not 0.

Goodluck!

I've had this loads of times, its caused by sunlight hitting the exposure sensor when the operator opens the platten, it usually happens in the springtime when the sun is low in the mornings.
Cheers
