Minolta EP2030 code c0660 scanner

This machine doesn't get a lot of use since my office closed, I use for local ambulance corps & volunteer work. The error code C0660 came up, copier works fine when the sorter/collator is not plugged in. A tech came out today and looked at it, said would likely be costly to troubleshoot since it apparently wasn't among the top few things he looked for. Any suggestions/ tech manual available? All the trays are at the top of the sorter, I don't think that was the case before the tech came.

is sounds like your sorter bin motor is either bad or going bad

My previous post titled 'scanner' in error. Problem is with the sorter. In any event, I'll likely just disconnect and discard the sorter. Thanks for the feedback!

the code is cob60 the b looks like a 6 on the machine

If you're feeling industrious, you can pull either the front or rear covers off and rotate the corkscrew so the bins go down. You'll want the top bin around where the exit rollers are. If you reconnect the finisher and it does the same thing you're probably S.O.L. but if the safety switch is just tripped, then you'll be back in business.
