Dear Technical friends,
I ve fixed a new stater with new development unit. After pre drive the call code appears c2557 whic is ATDC.
I was swithcing it off/ on but remains the same. I dont know how to clear this? then I dont know how to get in to service mode in this model.
Pl help me with service manual and tips,
when fixed the old development unit copier is working fine with poor coy quality.

Drum and developer must be changed at the same time, also if you don't know how to get into service mode, you could not have run the ATDC (F8), or reset the counters, which will cause the error as well.

Description

C2557 (C-2557).

Solution

CAUSE: The drum was replaced without replacing the developer.
SOLUTION: Replace both the drum unit and developer at the same time. Once the code occurs, developer must be replaced to properly recover.
The correct procedure for replacing the drum is as follows:
1. Select Tech. Rep. Mode => Counter => Special Parts Counter => PC Life.
2. Press the Clear Key to clear the counter value.
3. Turn OFF the main power switch.
4. Open the Right Door.
5. Remove the IU.
6. Remove four screws (silver) and disassemble the Photo Conductor Unit and the Developing Unit.
7. Replace the Photo Conductor Unit.
8. Remove three screws and the Developer Scattering Prevention Plate.
9. Remove the Toner Supply Port.
10. Remove the Developer.
11. Set the developer while rotating the gear in the direction of the arrow.
12. Reinstall the Toner Supply Port.
13. Using three screws, secure the Developer Scattering Prevention Plate.
14. Install the four screws to secure the Photo Conductor Unit and Developing Unit.
15. Install the IU in the copier.
16. Turn ON the main power switch.
17. Select Tech. Rep. Mode => Function => F8 and press the Start Key.
Notes :
a. After replacing the developer, be sure to execute F8 under Function of Tech. Rep. Mode.

b. When the main power switch is turned ON, execute F8 quickly.

Description

C2557 code at process start and paper jams in fuser unit.

Solution

CAUSE: Failed PWB-A (Mechanical CB).

SOLUTION: Replace the PWB-A board (p/n 4040 0101 03).

make sure also ur drum and developer (stater) is the right one..i mean it's different beetwen Di 3510/2510 and bz 250/350.

i have trouble with DV110 instead DV310, i think.

yes...Bz 250 and 350 use DV 310 NOT DV 110.The drum also difference.Use DR 310 NOT DR 205 or 305.

Hi everybody first of all sorry for my bad english I wish that you can understand me, there is a possibility to change only the drum without change the starter but you only have to make the f8 when you change the drum, also the drums in theese machines are ok at aproximately 120k or 150k or more if the client make many fotocopies I have one that the drum is ok unti 220k!!!, so you can reset the drum copies and then make an f8 and don´t change nothing until the copies are with bad quality( black lines often), take care.
