C203 Diagonal Faded Stripes - Yellow only

Our KM C203 prints these faded, diagonal yellow stripes (see picture). This only occurs with yellow and colors that contain yellow. We print a lot of product literature that includes large, yellow objects, so we would like to fix it. Is this something a new yellow imaging unit would fix? We don't know when it was last changed, but the consumable life counter shows full life on of all the imaging units. That counter may have been reset by a technician or employee (if that's possible). I do know the yellow toner cartridge was recently replaced, but that didn't fix it. This copier has +/- 150,000 pages on the counter.

Yes, the yellow imaging unit will resolve it. What your seeing is a developing problem. If you were to undertake the futile task of disassembling the yellow imaging unit, you would see the exact same pattern in the developer on the yellow developing roller. I say "futile" because there aren't any replaceable parts in the imaging unit.

Once the unit is installed, you'll need to do a stabilization and gradation. =^..^=
