How do I make the default color for copies black? The machine is set to a color default.

Not sure where in admin mode you do it, but here is how I do it.

Set the screen setting you want IE "black mode" "auto paper" whatever they want

    hit utility key
    then store (if memory serves)
    then current settings and ok
Panel reset should set Black and white now.

first you have to choose black on the normal copy screen. then go into the user mode under utilities and somewhere in there, there is a current settings/ factory settings. press factory setting then current setting. it shoud stick.

    You have to options:
    1. You can set the default auto color level. If you move the cursor to far left, all the copies will be b/w
    2. as cmb said above, you can change anything and then save the changes in current settings. After an reset/restart all the current settings saved above will be the default settings.
