    I would look at the white gear at rear towards right of machine viewed when ADU stand is pulled out. It has one way in it.

    The oneway behind the ADU carriage can be the problem (and possibly the shaft). Also, you may want to change the registration clutch and the sensor flag.

    In the driving section of parts manual try replacing clutches cl15 and cl16.

    I also forgot to mention the horizontal conveyance clutches, although that usually just affects tray 1. Also, you might look at the vertical conv. clutches on the right side if it happens on tray 3 or 4.

    If you hadn't switched entire feed units, I would strongly suspect the regulating block oneway slipping. I would scuff up the shaft anyway and see if it helps. Konica says to tie it up with a zip-tie so that it don't move forward but I never need to do that.

    Remove the bypass section and look for torn paper scraps at M1. Make sure loop sensor flag operating freely.

    I work on a ton of these. I make absolute declarations very conservatively, it almost has to be one of those things.
