    Feed rollers wear.

Has any one tried using green rollers from the older generation copiers like c250 on the new copiers like c360, c451 and the current range? The red rollers cost a fortune but wear out very quickly. Was hoping I could save some money.

    Thank you.

    Hi there!
yes, we´ve tried it, but they wear out as fast as the red ones, espacily when the customer works with "bad" paper. It´s worth a try would i say.
    Greetings...

Hehe. The rubber composition is the same the colours makes not difference it just looks pretty. If you replace all 3 at the same time you should get 300K plus on a tray.

What about the one way clutches. Are the whites ones same as the black?.

My supplier charges £ 7.80 for red and £8.10 for green. I never get more than 90 k for sep roller no matter what the model is. Feed and pick up last much longer. Green roller seam a lot tougher though.

That is cool to know that both rollers work. My car stock always has a few 4030300501on hand but hardy ever do they stock me on the red rollers. So in the past I had to go back to the office to request them and then go back to customer site.

red rollers are screwed after 100k I always change them around that stage.

The older rollers are actually harder, they are not suitable for the newer machines that allowed thick paper stock in all trays. Have tried this before and the experiment prooved unsuccessful.

The new black ribbed roller can be used as the pickup roller for all machines that use red rollers - it is 1 less roller you will have to change regularly. I have seen them last many hundreds of K and still have not needed to change one.

katun makes decent feed rollers, been using them on the C451 and C650 for the life of them and they work well enough. Thick paper makes them wear faster.
