if i remember rightly,
47 mode, 51, start for L-detect (after dev change).
47 mode, 90, start for the PM counter.

Is this ment to be funny or just a joke. The above quote is to reset F34 , 35, 36 codes that relate to fuser error. Nothing to do with reseting PM counter.

Now for an old trick. If you haven't replace the dev and still want to reset the pm count go into 25 mode and set p33 p34 p35 to all 0. Then turn machine off then back on. If you do 47mode 90 you will have to perform L detect ofter that 47mode 51 otherwise you get error f26 from memory.

Be a long thme since i have worked on these models but i remember servicing thousands of them years ago

In service mode

set P27 to 90

and then

set P28 to 09

This doesn't reset the PM counter but changes the PM counter to it's maximum setting. This way you'll get the service light off without running the risk of having to change the Developer.
