where is the color pulse signal on the 5551ci

I am looking for a pulse (signal) generated when the "auto color" or "full color" button is pressed on the front panel of the kyocera 5551ci.

So far I got that it is available and on 1 or two pins somewhere on a 40 pin connector. Once the color is selected the pulse is sent through this (or these two) pins.

Would anyone know which 40 pin connector it is and what pins?

Can't use the key counter 20 pin port, I need it before the copy is generated not during, this way I can disable the machine before copying the page started.

If you need this pulse before printing, it will have to come from the operation panel. And any existing output signal is probably not going to be a nice neat 5vdc for 500ms duration. =^..^=

Thanks for the reply. I could work with that. Can use an opto isolator and just need about 100ms to trigger my circuit. Do you know which pin on which connector?
