    Kyocera Taskalfa 5501i -c6610 error

    Hi all

hope you can help me with this problem. I have a machine Kyocera Taskalfa 5501i that giving an error C6610. The service states it's a toner release motor,
First of all I went to reset fuser error U163, but this option was not in the maintenance mode ????
I have replaced the fuser, this didn't fix it. But I cannot be sure this didn't fix it because I cannot reset the error. Please help.
    Has anyone seen this before?

Did you try 906 ? It shows that machine has 163 in the service manual.
    Hope that helps !

I think it might actually be gone on the newer models. Any experience with the fuser release motor? Nothing in the service manual really about it, not sure what it even looks like.

Swapping the fuser should have resolved it. The pressure release motor is in the fusing unit as well as the sensor.

Ah so those parts are in a new fuser. Connections are testing okay, so could be looking at a new engine PWB then. Unless there is something else I'm missing. Firmware is up to date etc.

The fusing release motor applies fixing pressure when printing starts, then releases pressure when the print job is complete. There is a U163, and it is for resetting fuser errors.

So, if that simulation is not available to you you may very well have an engine board problem. The few times that I have seen this code it usually resets without parts replacement. And even when you do replace the fuser, the code still returns intermittently. You should be able to run the fuser release motor in sim U030. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes, when I installed a 5500 fuser in a 5501 by mistake, there was no U163 in maintenance mode then either.

Yes the brand new fuser I tried was from the Mk-6305 (silly me) I noticed this earlier and I am going to try MK-6315 fuser. Wasn't sure if this would solve it though. Feeling a bit more confident now 👍. Let you know how it goes, thanks for the advice.
