Unhappy FS-1128 grey vertical lines when copying

We've got an FS-1128 that has vertical lines when copying from glass or the ADF.
No image at all, just full background of crisp gray lines.
Prints look fine. Customer has been (printing only) with it for a few days now.
I've replaced the small square lamp PWB and the Scanner PWB with used items, but still no fix.
Firmware updated. Tech support no help at all.

    Any ideas??

Clean the optics, use compressed air.

    Check firmware

Then with original Kyocera color chart
    - U425
    - U411

    Adjust the home position
    - U068 (my favorit +10)

its more likely the white data cable thats damaged or the screws on the board on the scanner that have been tempered with or accidentally moved
failure is not an option !

    QA# A398_2H9_004

u068, set to "+11" (already mentioned up top, but there's the QA for it FYI)

There's another QA somewhere that has mention this and basically ask us to tape a black strip over the left portion of the slit glass like in the bigger machines.(not sure on this one)

+1 Ditto on the flat white data cable from the scanner. Mine had good internal prints & those digital lines when copying
