When you say DIMM, do you mean memory DIMM or CODE DIMM? The memory DIMM is for short term handling of the print data. The CODE DIMM holds the firmware. I would have changed in this order:

    Main PCB CODE DIMM
    Operation Panel
    Main PCB

... each with a firmware upgrade.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

what happen when the upgrade fail, was there an error message ?. Is the machine plugged into a separate power outlet or sharing the power with other machines?
did you update with the method in your previous post that someone there outlined to you. unplug the hard drive and boot the machine, it should code out or is
the message the same.? when upgrading the firmware, it can take quite a bit of time sometimes, so leave it for a while and do not uplug it prematurely. and as the previous guy, i believe Darryl menitoned, you may have to try it more than once also as he said.
[make sure the hard drive is connected when updating the firmware]

In your previous post about this same problem. did not a guy mentioned how to update the firmware. here is his post. by darry1322. read carefully and understand the procedure.

    Re: kyocera KM 3060

In my experience, 9 times out of 10 :

put latest firmware on a 4 gig or less thumb drive

take the lower cover off of the panel.

with a flashlight and good eyes, look for the small ( very small ) switch on the edge of the panel board.

toggle this switch ( with power off ).[ toggle= move switch to other position]

turn the power on and wait until the memory light stops flashing.

power off and toggle switch to the starting position.

insert thumb drive into the panel and turn the power back on.

find something to do for the next 7 minutes until the panel starts loading firmware.

after the firmware is finished your panel should respond again.

It may take more than 1 try to get this to work.

the panel he is referring to is the lower control panel or operation panel, just below the screen.

When you do it the way you are doing it and the screen is blank, leave it at least for 2 hours. If does not work, then do the above. your choice.

    Re: troubleshooting Kyocera kM3060

follow Subaro's instructions above. If you did not wait for the memory LED to stop flashing you have now corrupted the firmware and using a usb drive will not work. You need to upload the firmware via a CF [compact flash card] plugged into the back of the machine. You should also update the firmware twice per the tech bulletin to make sure you have overwritten any bad sectors in the memory. Just had this happen today where the first tech got impatient and powered down the unit before the upgrade completed and could not finish the firmware update, the display just stayed on Program Loading forever! Using the CF would also hold true if you are upgrading from an older F/W level. Be patient, the upgrade today took 15 minutes before the display changed from program loading to updating firmware using the CF.
