    Re: 4200 Dirty Press Roller

Thanks for response, However, there are all relatively new installs low counts with new style fusers and latest firmware.
Fusers was the first thing I addressed. And, again, I use only OEM toner and no tweaks.
We are currently trying Bond setting since that is a thicker paper setting.
    Thanks again!

    Re: 4200 Dirty Press Roller

    Just an update.
Set Media Type Temp Setting for Plain paper from Normal 2 to Normal 3. Seems to have corrected it.
The small bump in temp also takes machine just a few seconds longer to stabilize on temp up. I believe that stabilizing time is all that was needed.
Press rollers stay clean and no toner blobs showing up.

    Thanks for all the input.

Normal 3 is the default for Bond paper by the way.

    Re: 4200 Dirty Press Roller

    Thanks for the Info, OP!

I have discovered too, that if there is toner offset that it is almost always better to use a thicker paper setting! Also to note, some of Kyo's desktop MFP's...the ones that have the paper/envelope lever in the rear in the fuser WILL get offset onto the Hot Roller if just paper is being used while the fuser lever is set in envelop pressure mode!...because of not applying the correct amount of pressure (higher) to bond the toner to the paper in the paper mode. I have had to crack open several of these type fusers to clean the toner off the HR. I ALWAYS kindly inform the customer of what I am doing and how it got that way and how to avoid the issue.
