I suspect a customer bought generic toner and now I have speckles.
Can I replace the toner cartridge and run some skyshots to use up the junk????

I haven't seen it myself, but I've heard that the generic toner can cause the primary to arc, giving you random arc-nicks in the drum. They're easy to see.
And I'd probably vacuum out the rest of the junk toner.
