Client keeps complaining it takes a long time to print. Takes a long time to print a job even if it is a single page. Shows the machine has received the print job at the copier. When it finally does print out, it is missing words on the page.

Performed firmware update twice. Not sure if it is the network or the machine itself or the medical software they are using. Any insight to this would be helpful as to how I can narrow down what is the problem.

    Thanks!

Are your clients printing web pages off the internet ?
If so they may have an over size file hanging in the print queue.

Go into windows print spooler directory and delete all the spooler files.

    Example.
    ------------------------
    Cd C:\Windows\System32\spool\Printers
    Del *.*
    ------------------------
Stop and restart the windows print spooler service if you wish.

The simplest way to start is to connect your laptop via crossover cable, load a print driver, and print directly to the MFP from various applications. You won't have the proprietary medical office app, but that doesn't really matter. I think you'll find that everything works just hunky dory from your laptop. The next step is to hop onto the endusers network and print through their network. It could go either way at this point.

One of the companies that I worked for defined in the service contract "Network Functionality" as being able to print from the techs laptop. Everything else was an entirely separate and billable service. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Went back out to the client today. Looks like it was probably an unnecessary network switch that the printer was connected to. Plugged the printer directly into the data port in the wall and it seemed to be printing correctly when I left.
