    300i pausing during jobs

    Hi guys,
i have an issue with a taskalfa 300i (counter arround 120k) which during duplex jobs (copy or print) pausing after 4 printed sheets and do nothing more.
I can hear motors spining but no sheet is fed, no error or even jam codes...if i dont open any door, i think i would still waiting.
If i do a job with more than 5 duplex, it won't work.
I replaced engine PWB, dv unit, toner cartridge.

I have noticed a wierd thing, i can't test any switch in U31, everything is grayed.

    any idea ?

Low Fuser temperature can cause this

Sorry, should have been more specific. If the fuser temperature was lowered by even 5 degrees the machine will pause the copying process especially on duplex. I've seen techs lower the temp a few degrees and end up with the problem you describe, I've done it myself. Raise the temps 5 degrees and see if it works. Good Luck.

Assuming you are correct with the thermal timing issue.
Would changing the media stock to thicker paper compensate for the drop in thermal raise timing ?

I've seen similar on HP printers when the Fuser starts to fail.
The fuser triggers a hault in the print process until the temperature returns to normal range.

Sounds like this is a firmware issue. May be the fault should be passed on to the Kyocera Factory techs...?

    Hi
    Thank you all.
Fuser temp was indeed lower than default.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
