Kyocera Mita Client Tool - Scanning to 2008 R2 Server

    Hi all.

Has anyone had any joy scanning to a server with the client tool? The machine is an Olivetti d-Copia 1801MFplus which I believe is a Kyocera Mita TaskAlfa 1801.

I can get it working on the client PC's (Windows 7) but not the 2008 R2 Server.

I can't get pull scanning to work either by clicking the scan buttons on the client tool.

The only one that gets partially there is the scan to PDF button which crashes out with a 'Check for solutions' window of death.

I've tried running it as Administrator and Compatibility Mode (Win 7).

Just trying to install Adobe Reader now to see if that gets me anywhere.

The version of the Client Tool is 1.2.24.11 but I can't find a newer version (or any version for that matter) on the Kyocera/Olivetti websites.

    Many thanks.

    Dave.

I think that software is for the first gen machines. The Client Tool has a graphical user interface where you can click Scan to File, Email etc.

I got it working by installing on a desktop PC instead, which is a bit of a bodge really but the customer seems happy as long as they can pull scan.

    Thanks anyway,

    Dave.
