Had a black DV unit lock up and strip the gears. I replaced the unit and it worked for about an hour before customer called and said its asking for toner again.
Is there a calibration for the DV unit ?

The machine does the developer stir itself automatically. The problem is that when the developing unit seizes, it also destroys the black developing drive clutch. It's reasonably easy to get to from the rear, behind a black plastic cup (clutch part #: 302JD93123). Be sure to check the bronze bushings and the plastic housing that the bushing set in at both ends. The bushings can oval out, and chew up the plastic housing, or heat up and melt the housing. In either case you'll need the main drive assembly instead. Be sure to check before ordering parts.
You will still need to do a color calibration when you're done. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
