First step is where is the new DnS server hosted: Did they change from a local DNS server to a DNS server provided by their ISP? From your description the M6526's printer port was setup to use the printer name as the port and not the IP address which is basically good, except when the ISP, especially cable companies are involved which do not like using the printer name because it will not resolve to a known DNS name on their servers. LDAP should not impact the spooler. I would simply delete the existing printer from the computer and reinstall the print driver.
So what is the system error? There must be one to get his message. If the enduser is unable to read the panel (and many are) perhaps you'll have to drive over there. If it's not displaying the error currently, print the error log. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
