    Kyocera Options

Being somewhat new to Kyoceras, I am trying to understand their accessory options. When I went to school on the equipment they said that an advantage of Kyocera was that options fit many different models. In looking at the TB1 I have confused myself. For instance, The 6650ci/7550ci and the 6500i/8000i use the DF-790. But the 6551ci/7551ci uses the DF-790(C). What does the (C) mean? I have seen this on other accessories and equipment as well.

I know this may be trivial to most but I get more knowledge here than anywhere else.

Back when they stuck a (B) on their finishers, all it meant was they'd changed colour to match the new machines. Not sure about the C though as we don't touch Kyo now.

Thanks for the response. I wished Kyocera had some form of communication as to how to decipher this information. They may have but I have not found it.

Wait until you order... how they can have hundreds of machines and finishers in stock but zero attachment kits is beyond me.

I don't have one in front of me but if I'm not mistaken, the DF-790(C) has the modular connector on the rail that connects when you engage the lock from the front door. I believe it's interchangeable as long as you use the relevant attachment frame.
