250ci light on side in color only

Hello all. I need some help on this one. Late yesterday I responded to a call and had little time to solve. I will be going back today. The issue is when printing in color, the front side, closest to the front of the machine, prints light on colors. Black seems fine. I ran (i think U83) to get some samples and I can't quite tell if I see it in them. Has anyone ran into this before? Full PM was done about 10k ago. I have not had a lot of exposure to Kyoceras so any help in troubleshooting this would be much appreciated for I am on my own on this one. Talked with tech support and did not get anywhere.

I did drum refresh. Also did dev refresh 3 times. Color calibration 3 times.

as i understand the problem related to laser unit , you need to clean laser unit + polygon motor and it will solve your problem

I take it you mean to remove laser unit from machine and open it up to clean the polygon motor?

Exactly, or you could replace it with another one.

Run a color belt to see what you actually have first

I did run one but they only had letter paper. I will go back today and run 11x17 which I think would give me better results. The good thing is this issue is not an emergency which gives me time to learn more about it. When I spoke with tech support they said U089 outputs would tell you if it was a drum issue or a dev issue. They may have told us that in class but that was a few years ago and my exposure to kyocera is minimal to date. If they were correct and you know what they were talking about I would be appreciated if you could elaborate on it. I will post the outputs later today which may help. Thanks again.

Here is the printout. It looks distorted to me on my computer so it may not show correctly. I had several people look at it and they were consistent in that the Black and Magenta was lite on left side. I think Cyan is to but not like Black and Cyan. I'm talking about the big shaded areas, not the small solid bars.doc20161215140004.pdf

I'd suggest scanning again without compression. What can be seen from your sample can't really be trusted to be image quality issues vs compression artifacts.

If the image quality problem is as subtle as the scan implies, I think I might start with cleaning the laser slit glasses. It is possible that there is toner or dust in the laser, and it's not that difficult to remove and clean.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
