KM5035 with black copies now a pattern

cleaned contacts and replaced interlock switch pack on left rear of machine, now getting a "texture" pattern in background.

so far replaced drum, main charge, developer unit, transfer roller unit and interlock switches.

    only using oem supplies

should be able to see pattern on this sample

    anyone seen laser do this?

At first it looks like main charging, and than developer unit. You've done all of those. You could clean the laser unit, though it doesn't look like it. Which contacts exactly you've cleaned in the first place?

That pattern is a classic charger grid pattern. Are you using a new charger assy? Did you try a different charger ? Did you clean/check ALL the contacts on the machine side for the drum and charger assy? Also it's possible the spacers on the charger are the wrong size ( check the roller colors)

    Good luck..

Agree with this. When you see that grid pattern it's almost always charger related. Check to see if one of the spacers on the charger didn't fall off when you inserting it, this can happen easily.

Tried another new drum and main charge. Solid black copies. I'm out!

Silly question ...did you order the correct MK and or Drum....I remember 5035 is different from 3035 and I don't remember if using the wrong drum will code.....BUT if the images are black your looking at a charge issue/ charger. You seem to be on the right tract given that changing the DM assy produced a change...not what you wanted , but a change. BTW...Never had one with your posted example that was not fixed by a new charger or drum/charger combo.

    Good luck..

I can't remember what symptom, but it will not copy with the wrong drum. You get an error message. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Looks to me like the MC grid is contacting the drum. I've seen them sag right out of the box. Try taking the MC out and check the tension one the grid. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen multiple production lots with the same problem.

    Try the high voltage board.
