    Kyocera Mita ecoMFP 4550ci jamming

    hello all,
i have a Kyocera Mita ecoMFP 4550ci which is jamming when printing full colour pages.
the pages are sticking to the induction heater and jamming part way out of the fuser, see attached pictures.
the machine has had a new fuser unit, induction heater and the right hand door mods fitted but continutes to jam with pages stuck to the IH unit.
this is causing major problems for the user as the fuser unit has to be removed in order to clear the jam.
has anyone come accross this and found a fix?

What are the lead and trail voids set to? You do realize that it's very difficult to get 100% fill images to pass the fuser. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

they do have 3 other 4550ci machines, all printing similar type docs and this is the only one that is jamming in this way.

I've come across this a lot with clients doing 100 percent coverage. First check fuser life. This tends to happen more with older fusers. Second, and most importantly, go through your registration and void edge set up and try and get at least 4mm on the lead edge. You need this to get the print past the guide plate after the fuser pinch. Too much toner near the lead edge and the page will follow the roller under the separation plate and stick itself to the IH unit.
Note, there is no definitive code that increases the void.
I've even reported this to our support team for assistance and they too struggled to find a simple way to increase the lead edge void.
Just go through your dimensional set up. This may take some time but will solve your problem.

Depends on how heavy the fill is:
3.5mm is adequate for light fill
4.0-5.0mm for medium to heavy fill

Have you checked the temp settings for the type of paper being used? Perhaps using a lower or higher temp and changing paper brand . I know these are basic checks but sometimes we miss them...

Run it in landscape or letter-r, or tell your customer to buy good 28# Hammermill Color copy paper.
General use paper is long grain so it curls length wise. Running it landscape will make it less likely to stick to the fusing unit.
    Hope that helps !
