    TASKalfa 3051ci error C2840

    Hi Guys,

I have a problem with a TASKalfa 3051ci. Initally sometimes, now often give error C2840.

I have already clean the transfer belt cleaning section and the waste toner cleaning pipe.

I manually rotate transfer belt cleaning motor and I did not notice a unusually load. Turning is soft!

What can I do? Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance,
    Kyove

I had the same problem on a higher volume machine and found a bulletin regarding the change of the TR cleaning section for models before a certain serial number.
Had to do Firmware and change TR unit.

Is the rest of the waste path clean? does the waste reach the waste box?

I would do Firmware first and then test before changing the TR unit.
The product may be brilliant and the salesperson proficient, but if the technician isn’t efficient, then the story will end there.

I'm already on the latest firmware:

    TASKalfa 3051ci, 3551ci, 4551ci, 5551ci
    Version: 06.04.0020 (2016-12-05)
    Release Date: 2016-12-12

The waste path seems to be ok. WT cleaning pipe has normal dirty inside, even the transfer belt cleaning.

I carefully vacuum the inner unit (or image formation holder) and dirty seems to be on the average.
Machine has 213k copies: 84 bw and 129k color.

    Any suggestion?

Can you send me the bullettin please? My email is blackjf@libero.it

    Thx,
    Kyove

    Change the transfer belt.

Make sure that the 32pin connector is entirely seated ... no bent pins. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
