Registration on top drawer is off consistently feeding too fast, 2nd drawer is correct. Fuser is also causing a cq issue. Could there be a relationship between the fuser and the registration problem???
Thanks!!!

Is the paper weight set properly?
Do you have any samples marked with the feed direction? Have you looked at tray adjustments and image adjustments? That's what I would do. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have replaced many paper feed clutches on this series (1620/1650/2050/2550). Check Fuser Roller for contamination, order Fuser Right Assy or entire Fuser Assy to fix.
Thanks for the replies!!!! This copier was used in another location where these problems were not occurring. What I'm really asking is could there be a connection between the fuser and this problem with registration; however the fact that it only happens with the top drawer will have me ck the paper weight, all other settings are accurate.
Thanks again!!!
No. The paper registers to the image well before the fuser.
One thing that I used to see in some of the old Canons is the sensor flag for the number one drawer would wear down and cause the registration to be off.
Some techs would just adjust the registration not caring that it was only cassette one that was the problem.
After having been adjusted the machine would then be off on all the other cassettes and sometimes cause jamming due to the
registration being so far off, sometimes in the fuser causing it to be soiled and or damaged.
FWIW
