    Bizhub 3050ci Maintenance C reset

    Hi Kyocera experts,

is it possible to extended the counter for the maintenance C message after 300.000 pages, the fuser unit still works fine so we dont want to buy a new one.

Which is the most recent Firmware-Version ? Where could i download it or could someone send me in e-mail.

    Thanks for your support,

    Tobias

No bizhub 3050ci, Only Taskalfa 3050Ci!

Use mode U251 to clear the counter.

The parts warranty will expire 10% over that 300K. Is it worth tossing out the warranty? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sorry, my fault - i mean Kyocera Taskalfa 3050ci !!!

Thanks for your replies, it is a used machine, 5 years old, i dont think there is a part warranty anymore.

what could go wrong if i reset the maintenance counter and dont exchange the fuser unit ?

any ideas getting the actual firmware ?

They do seem to run really well doing the maint. If you're not going to, I'd change U250 instead of clearing the counters.
    Hope that helps !

Typically I replace parts at warranty intervals, however, in the rare occurrences that I have out of warranty equipment like you are describing I will adjust U251 and bump it up by a smaller interval. This will ensure that you get back out periodically to check it (rather than waiting on a catastrophic failure that will cost you in the eyes of your client and possibly your wallet if you have to overnight one of those heavy suckers).
If you phrase your inquiry properly, you will get the answers you seek...

Good Luck ... You'll need it! HAHAHA!
