    Charge Roller Change (Finally !)

We ordered an MC-8705 and it subbed out to an MC-8720. The new charge rollers have the updated glue to eliminate the bumps & a spiral cleaner to eliminate the lines.
It only took them 6 years to fix it. Hopefully this does it. I asume the MC-6705 will be updated as well. I did notice they also did away with the gears in the end of the charge roller.

That's good to know...I know our Tech Rep was looking into that for us on whether they were gonna retrofit them for the older machines...I'm glad they did this....I dunno how many of the things I've been cleaning lately...especially at schools with cheap ass paper....it's a frigging blizzard of paper dust in those things....

    Hi

This may be a silly question, but how did you determine or discover that glue is the problem ?

    Thanks

By taste, how else could you determine it ?
just kidding, there was a bulletin for it, but when it came out, I thought
to myself, why not fix the cleaning roller also. Apparently they heard me.
    Hope that helps !

The glue has been a problem since the Alphard 1 first appeared. The symptom I noticed right away was the spider imprints where it would continue to arc from the same spots, Do we dare hope that Kyocera has designed a charge roller that can make yield? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Since we have a part number, now I was able to bulletin H042. It does in fact reference MC6720 for the mono machines.
    Hope that helps !

Finally some good news regarding the charge rollers. If they would only take advices from techs...

I would've traded better charge rollers for the ability to pull them out of the machine without taking that damn toner contraption off.

If these things work like they're supposed to, you will only need to every 600k.
    Hope that helps !
