Hello all, I am looking for opinions on the Task Alfa 8100i. I worked on Kyocera until five years ago, now Ricoh. No experience on this model. Decent box or stay away from it? Thanks in advance.

What the hell is an 8100?
That's not a valid model number I've heard before. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

They typically run PM to PM and can handle a very large volume. I've got 3 in a school system that are at 3 million+ and none of them have gotten early fuser replacements, which was common with the 8000i. Naturally, at this count there are some small issues like actuators wearing down and clutches failing, but other than that they run great.
And I've yet to replace any feed rollers before 150k!

HOW??? What magic or voodoo do you use ?
Thanks for the responses. I was hoping it ran like the Kyocera's I'm used to. PM to PM is all anyone can ask for. Thanks again!
Could you share what paper your school is using please? What spec and brand and type, if you can.
From Kyo rollers I never got more than 70-90k(reliably)
I did get 150k from KM rollers.
Yah and clutches are good talk over a pint. Actuators should be made of metal, I suggest. Then it would be PM to PM.
Firmwares HERE.OK Google! ... will I need Berrocca this morning?
